Bodegas Naia ’16

It started a few years ago. I’d go to a girl’s night or dinner party, and a bottle of Naia would show up, toted along by a friend. I’d hear comments throughout the night… “You brought the Naia?” “Yes, I’ll have a glass of the Naia.” “Any more Naia?” It’s such a crowd pleaser, making it the perfect choice to bring to your next party. Super-approachable, easy drinking, and food-friendly; you can’t miss with this light Spanish white.

Naia is a solid representation of this region’s wines, where the Verdejo grape is used almost exclusively. Floral yet crisp, peaches, melons, citrus and fennel notes combine to create a vivacious wine with a long, mineraly finish. Pair as you would with a Sauvignon Blanc. A festive approach would be to think Spanish tapas; manchego cheese, olives, roasted peppers, grilled wild mushrooms, shellfish, anything crispy and fried, and of course Spanish Jamon.

Pleasant companion for: Grilled white fish, shellfish, hard aged cheese, tomatoes and figs, blue cheese, paella or risotto, fresh summer vegetables, stone fruit.

Try with our Blender Gazpacho.
