The keys to a great Halloween wine: It shouldn’t be too serious or sophisticated, should be budget-friendly, have a deep, rich red (dare I say, blood-like) color, and should keep you drooling for it all night long.
Reading our blog, you are probably familiar with Coppola wines, and know that they can be pretty damn delicious. What you may not know, is that Coppola has crafted a red blend specifically as an easy-drinking, approachable, everyday wine. Oh, and did I mention that until October 28th it is on sale for $8.99?
While I wouldn’t describe the Rosso & Bianco as “heavy,” it is predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, and Syrah, so its got some weight to it. You’ll find cinnamon, dark purple fruit, and smoke on the nose, and flavors of plum, cherry, and toasted oak on the palate. It pairs best with heartier dishes, or is infinitely drinkable all on its own.
Pleasant companion for: Aged cheese, cured meats, roasted winter vegetables, pizza, hearty tomato sauces, stews, grilled and roasted poultry and meat.
