Klein Constantia Sauvignon Blanc ’16

It’s Spring Break for the school kids, and buds are starting to pop. Though we know we’re not quite out of the woods yet.

We’re of the mind that there is never a BAD time for a Sauvignon Blanc, but Springtime is especially nice as the weather fluctuates between snow and rain, clouds and sun, warmth and chill. Sauv Blanc can beautifully compliment a bowl of spicy, warm Asian noodle bowl, or accompany a bright, fresh spring salad. It’s versatility keeps us hooked.

This week we returned to South Africa, a country with great value and some incredible wines. The Klein Constantia Sauvignon Blanc is well crafted and delicious from the start… through its super long finish. The winery’s known for it’s minerality, which along with the bright acidity, is balanced by tropical and floral notes. Green apple, limes, and spice provide for a lovely experience on the palate.

Pleasant companion for: Smoked salmon, goat cheese, fresh spring vegetables, spicy food, light meats, seafood and shellfish, ethnic fare, cheese and charcuterie platters, pizza, creamy pasta dishes.

Try with our Pasta Primavera.
