Pascal Jolivet Sancerre Rosé 2017

News Flash: Mother’s Day is an ALL DAY affair. Give the mother in your life the whole day off- here’s the plan.

Start with a simple brunch paired with this cool, crisp rosé. Follow with an afternoon activity of choice… a nice hike, stroll through a garden, etc. Then celebrate with a nice dinner out- which in our humble opinion is a way better approach than battling crowds at an expensive buffet where you end up with tepid, uninspired brunch fare. THIS is a winning formula!

And THIS is a wining wine! Pascal Jolivet has long been one of our favorite producers from the Sancerre region in France. Nestled in the Loire Valley, the area is most known for their crisp and refreshing Sauvignon Blancs. His rosé is a standout, and worthy of this special day. Medium-bodied yet delicate on the palate, it’s fruit-forward without being cloying or sweet. The winemaker believes in a minimalist approach and natural wine making, and what you find here is a beautiful rosé with hints of fresh strawberries, lemons and herbs, balanced from start to its crisp, satisfying finish. Mom will be tickled… pink!

Pleasant companion for: leisurely brunches and afternoon lunches, al fresco apps and bites, seafood, salads, grilled vegetables, poultry, cheeses and charcuterie, fruit based desserts, sushi and other Asian fare, spicy foods.

Try with our Avocado Toast.
