Vanilla Ice Cream with PX

This is a no-recipe kind of dessert. The kind that you do no work for, but is fun, unexpected, and so tasty. You could just pour the sherry in a glass alongside the ice cream, but pouring it on top transforms each ingredient, creating a harmonious and composed dish. With each spoonful you’ll get creamy, raisiny, syrupy goodness and wish you learned of this sooner.

Ingredients
  • Vanilla Ice Cream
  • Pedro Ximenez Sherry
  • Candied Pecans, optional, for garnish
Instructions
  1. Scoop the ice cream into a bowl. Pour over 1-2 tablespoons sherry and serve topped with chopped pecans if desired.
